Breakthrough Fast 2022 Day 11

Turningpoint   -

Day 11 Thursday January 13

Today we join to pray for any among us who are secretly battling with the evil of any and all addictions and for a breakthrough from the destructive patterns that are so destructive to themselves and those around them who love them.

Addiction of every kind is an evil assigned to destroy the host. When we pray for those in the seduction of addiction, we need to understand that this evil assignment can be broken and that which was intended for evil can be redeemed for good, preserving the life and restoring the dignity of the host as well as reviving the hope of loved ones who have been battered with the defeat of hopelessness.

The Psalmist Reminds us that God helps those who seek Him. He says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help, my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” He continues the Lord will preserve you from ALL evil and PRESERVE your soul.

The prophets remind us that God created and formed us and that we are not to fear the Lord who has redeemed us and called us by name, and we belong to Him. Listen and be encouraged that no matter what addiction has you wrapped up at the moment it only knows your weakness but the Lord our redeemer knows your name and hears your voice when we call for help. Further we are to remember no matter what we may be facing it will not overcome us.

The Apostle Paul reminds his spiritual son Timothy that even though he was abandon by men when he was imprisoned that God was faithful to give him a platform to preach the gospel even from prison. He says that the Lord will deliver him from every evil work of the enemy and preserve him for the advancement of the kingdom. `

Paul goes on in our text to say that Christ’s mission is not divided by our divisions but remains intact and that Christ knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and reserve the unjust for punishment on the day of judgment.

To those who have encountered Jesus Christ there is no place for the evil of addiction as the powerful life of Jesus will break the assignment and drive the evil out of His new temple or home.

We are to stand and pray in the anointing and power of the Spirit wielding the authority of the word of God breaking and canceling the assignments against the saints, our brothers and sisters in Christ, setting them free to give witness to the power and freedom they have received in Christ.

Today as we think of all that is going on let us remember who our real help comes from. Let us resist the temptation to be drawn away from our redeemer in our own strength. Let us never forget the Lord our redeemer knows our name, promises us that He will make a way for us and listens when we call out to Him to help us in our time of need.

Say it like you believe Jesus can, “DELIVER us from EVIL.”
