Breakthrough Fast 2022 Day 14
Day 14 Sunday January 16
Today we are praying for our neighborhood. We are praying to build and develop relationships with those around us for the express purpose of influencing them with the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to save and deliver them.
Our reading begins with fleeing armies being wiped out by hailstones and the sun and moon standing still for a full day for Israel to avenge their enemies. This is one of the greatest demonstrations of the power of Jehovah God the creator of the universe. It would be easy enough for God the creator to pause the time He created. Let me offer an alternative explanation. The bible tells us that there will no need for the sun in heaven for the Son of God will be the light. What if God simply came close enough that His presence overshadowed the sun and moon for the space of this a day? (Just a thought)
The Psalmist declares Jehovah God our Creator is a God of unmatched power. God has the POWER to render to each one of according to How we respond to His word in faith or action. God has the POWER to establish and execute His promise.
The prophet Isiah says that even the young grow weary and tired, and lose their strength but those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength as they mount up on wings like eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Who needs some of this about NOW?)
James tells us the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective he then illustrates the power by reminding us that Elijah prayed that it would not rain for three and a half years and that is mind boggling and most of us stop there realizing we are not Elijah. James goes on to illustrate effectiveness with saying if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from his error will save a soul from hell and cover a multitude of sins. He makes it clear that saving a soul from hell is the essence of POWER and we don’t have be Elijah to participate in this POWER. (Come on and say it with me Hallelujah!!!)
Today if you want to experience the POWER of Jehovah God then you may want to consider renouncing and abandoning any and all diluted loyalties to the idol gods of every form while you return your undivided loyalties to Jehovah God.
God will return the fire of His POWER to our lives through the Holy Spirit that will purify us without consuming us and then release and shower us with the refreshing and renewing rains of promise and bless us with the POWER of His unending presence.
Prayer that turns to Jehovah God with unwavering devotion will fill our testimony with a renewed and undeniable POWER.
Listen carefully until you can you hear the POWERFUL refreshing wind of the Holy Spirit!
